  • Consider the evolution of benefits law – the past, the present, and the future – including what can be learned from each time period and what benefits professionals should be thinking about now.
  • Recognize the impact that the recently passed Tax Cuts & Jobs Act will have on employee compensation and benefits, as well as recognizing plan compensation errors that are detected during audits
  • Gain an understanding of the Internal Revenue Service's three correction programs under which retirement plan sponsors may correct errors that could result in disqualification of the plan.
  • Manage changes in health plan policies, as well as other programs that are influenced by ERISA standards, and recognize best practice strategies for keeping pace with variable/executive compensation planning, and retirement plan changes
